e
So I've been trying to update for 4 hours and get this error with multiple files: ERROR: Can't move D:\apps\DCS World\_downloads\bin/Qt5Widgets.dll to D:\apps\DCS World\bin/Qt5Widgets.dll: (183) Cannot create a file when that file already exists. I have added the whole DCS folder to the Windows Defender exclusions list. Please help, I'm going insane. Edited October 8, 2020 by e typo
Flappie
Hi. You're right, DLL access issues are often due to antivirus/antimalware. But this time, it doesn't seem like it is. Please attach your autoupdate_log.txt file (from D:\apps\DCS World\) as well as your dcs.log file (from C:\Users\your_name\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\). Are you using symbolic links in your DCS installation? Don't accept indie game testing requests from friends in Discord. Ever.
Vanguard
I had a similar issue once. Rebooted, deleted the offending file manually and ran update and it was fine.
BuzzU
I tried to install the Stable version. It keeps timing out. Something is going on with the server today. Buzz

mondaysoff
Hi, having a similar problem here. Rebooted, repaired and deleted the troubled file location but still keeps re-occurring. Can't move D:\Gaming\DCS World\_downloads\Mods/aircraft/M-2000C/Doc/M-2000C RWR Threat Codes.pdf to D:\Gaming\DCS World\Mods/aircraft/M-2000C/Doc/M-2000C RWR Threat Codes.pdf: (5) Access is denied. Apparently my log file exceeds the forum limit so I cannot attach it. I have NEVER in my history of DCS had a problem updating versions before.
