Thanks good info, I'll prob do a lua edit for these that can.. though their programs are relatively simple.

Remember that you’ll also need the gui options and dlg files too.

Updated version attached with F16 and Harrier updates.

Only problem I saw was Chaff-only program for Harrier, and the F-16 programs excluding program1.

Haven't fully tested all the programs though because I only use 3 per aircraft.

One thing I noticed with the M2000 that is probably just a quick of the Mirage is that the intervals are extremely fast, I guess it's not expressed in seconds. Would be cool to have longer intervals available, but I'm not sure if Razbam allows it.

That seems to work perfectly from a VAICOM kneeboard POV which was the problem , i havent done extensive testing , but it looks good!

Thank you!

@Bailey Famous last words... it still interferes but in a completely different way, what happens now is when you press the button(s?) for Voice attack to recognise the command, it works but instantly forces the mic to stop listening , which means that extended menus commands are not possible ... which is a pain especially for campaign missions 😞 sorry to be the bearer of "Bugs" again 😞

Have you systematically tested this with a new install and uninstall of v5? Considering that there is no gui (while flying), keybinds, etc, that sounds odd.

yes i always use a mod manager, to install all my mods even in the saved games directory ... and yes, with your mod installed i get the behaviour and with your mod uninstalled i do  not 😞

try without the mod manager. it is specifically designed to use EDs hook API.

same result, the mod manager is just an automated copy ...

Noted. Ty for the research. Do you have dcs or VAICOM logs to add? DiCE has a log too.

I have a dcs-dice.log, and that seem unremarkable:

dcs.log-20220130-161559.zip, i think this is the equivariant DCS log, i couldnt find anything useful for viacom/va... it's very strange, and i can't see how they would interact either, but it's clear they do... some how ...

DiCE.log

Thanks to the TAIPAN_'s contribution and good will, DiCE has been officially updated to v5.1.
https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3312680/
v5.1
-TAIPAN_ fixed F-16 programs not applying saved programs, manual and auto (only program 1 was working)
-TAIPAN_ fixed AV8B Chaff only program not saving properly

The inability to change f16 bypass is intentional. If there is evidence that it can be changed irl I will consider doing the same for DiCE.

Thanks no worries. I think most people using bypass wouldn't have a program anyway, may as well just use a manual program.

I managed to edit my A4E program (countermeasures.lua line 51-54), and the Ka-50 default program (UV_26.lua line 21, 34, 49) .

I failed to find default programs for F5 (kneeboard), F14 (RIO Cockpit), and the Apache (MFD chaff, kneeboard flares).

The Apache is a bit different with flares set on the ground, chaff set in the MFDs. Can probably edit one of them but I couldn't get it working.

this makes the Vaicom/VA interaction even worse .. normally i will get something like this

3:08:37.352 Joystick : 'Transmit TX1 release'

3:08:34.475 Recognized : 'options'

so this is in exactly the same situation the VA/VAICOM module shows the player entering exiting multiple times and multiple button presses for the same press...and even thought it recognises the keyword, it drops the menu option straight away ... it thought  the button presses was me at first fat fingering something, but, its definitely not between the keyboard and the chair...

Can you uninstall dice and see if dcs-Walkman causes the same issues? https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3322875/

I wish VAICOM code as visible to see why it is trying to re-read the info. With dice v5 it is checking and rewriting the countermeasure files more often, which may explain why VAICOM is tripping up more often.

To see if that is the case, remove Walkman and DiCE. Start a normal mission. Edit one of the countermeasure files by hand. Save it.  See if VAICOM tries to read what aircraft you are in.

That's what I do normally, is edit the relevant lua file for counter measures, and save them, that in itself doesn't present the issue.

The same is true if I use dice to create the file, and then uninstall dice...

if you do that while in a mission, will VAICOM redetect the module?
