Hi

I tried to tune with radio backup but not working.

1) Try in two different airports with a victor freq and uniform freq

2) Try on stable and openbeta

3) The radio control switch is in ON position

4) Try with radio1/2 selector switch

5) Try with freq preset from editor and in manual mode

6) Try with RSC selector in TR and TR+G

It's ok only when using UFC Radio.

Can you try plz ???

Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass.

Yes, that´s a pain in the a... since months for me, the backup radio doesn´t work, only UFC mode works. Well, it´s not my thread but I don´t understand why a track file is needed for something simple to demonstrate that it doesn´t work at all. Leaves me speechless!

Because it provides detail for the devs of what exactly is causing this issue. Whether thats pilot error or code error or possibly a mod creating the issue.

I am not quite sure if I am having the same Problem or if I am doing something wrong.

I tried the Tutorial Mission for the Laser Guided Mavericks and I wanted to manually tune in the JTAC frequency, using the radio on the right (ACNIP).

If I understand this Thread correctly, that does not work currently?

There is in fact no radion backup from what I was told, only backup controls in case the UFC fails.
I'll take a look at your track.

Interesting - I was looking at this a bit more the other day and I noticed that on the ME there is a 3rd set of radio presets beneath comm1 and comm2 that appear to control the presets for the backup system on the right console - but then no way to use them. Would be useful to get some clarity on the backup radio head, how it functions and what it actually does as well as how it works in game.

Still doesn't work after that long time of investigation?

Hah.

The Radio Control Set is not the control panel to a third radio, but the backup control to the radio sets in case of a failure of the UFC.
IRL, the UFC just doesn't fail.
In DCS the UFC failure is not simulated. The RCS can be set up but is not properly usable as a backup (switching the ACNIP to MAN will not make the radios use the RCS setup).
That can be arranged though, it is on the list but is fairly low priority.
