Draken401 Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Hello, if i pre-cool the IRMV i know i need to wait 3 minutes for the RDY sign...and i think in AG Mode and on stores Page 1 time the IRMV selected it starts and the counter runs thru (and i can do other things until the countdown is done) -> but if i select another page or another Mode or another Weapon the counter stops and i need to go to AG Mode/SRS Page and unselect/select IRMV a second time and the counter starts new. i have checked this with a kitchen clock, it took 3 minutes again... so i think this is a bug
Ramsay Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 (edited) ... if i select another page or another Mode or another Weapon the counter stops and i need to go to AG Mode/SRS Page and unselect/select IRMV a second time and the counter starts new. i have checked this with a kitchen clock, it took 3 minutes again... so i think this is a bug TL;DR: I confirm the bug / change in behaviour. DCS 2_5_6_55960 track attached Expected Behaviour If you select another weapon on the SMS page or switch to A2A you'll unpower the Maverick pylons. Switching to the EHSD page, etc. or switching between VSTOL and A2G modes should NOT break the Maverick alignment/cooling process as power is not removed from the pylon(s). If you look at the pylon lights on the manual armament panel you can see when the Maverick pylons are powered and/or if you accidently unpowered them (you can use the stopwatch on the left of the cockpit to time how long they've been powered up. I would expect selecting a IR Maverick station on the ACP to box "IRMV" on the SMS page but that would need checking with a SME. DCS 2.5.6.55960 behaviour Requires A2G mode, Master Arm ON* and the IRMV to be boxed on the SMS page. Master Arm ON* to warm up a weapon sensor "seems" wrong but you'd need to confirm with an SME / dev that the change is intended. Note: *Master Arm may be spurious as (after re-watching the track) - I may not have give A2G+IRMV boxed sufficient time to complete. In my first test this wasn't required but that was perhaps because the aircraft in my "sandbox" mission initially had GBU-16's and was rearmed ? After engine startup and powering MFDs, HUD, etc. • Select an IRMV station(s) on the ACP and "box" IRMV on the SMS page (pylon lights lit / IRMV status STBY) • Start cockpit stop watch • Switch to the EHSD page to enter initial co-ordinates and start INS alignment • After 3 min, switch to SMS - IRMV status is now "RDY" • Switch to A2G, SS cycle to IRMV, uncage / slew to check IR sensor. • Unpower IRMV stations, repower and test IRMV is still working/RDYAV8B AGM-65F cooling and alignment test, 2_5_6_55960.trk Edited October 13, 2020 by Ramsay Retest confirmed the bug i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440

Ramsay Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 IR Maverick doesn't work at night . Off topic. Please post in the appropriate thread or create a new one, as RB seem to use the easiest/last report to mark a report as resolved, user error, etc. when different reports are made in the same thread That said, IR Maverick behaviour is said to have been changed in the next update and we should wait and see. i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440

Thanks Ramsay. YEs as we know there is some work that has been done in regards to the AGM-65F coming from ED and SHOUlD be present in the next big patch. Cannot confirm that it WILL be there but we have been told and CB testers have informed me issues have been resolves internally so we will have to wait for the next patch to come out to confirm this. Moving to RESOLVED as a DUPLICTAE isssue Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass. — Dave 'Preacher' Pace, USN.
