Scofflaw
The Hornet is unlikely to be completed before the end of the year, and it is being prioritized over the Viper right now. I somewhat prefer features being introduced one at a time, so that I can learn/practice them as they come out. Progress is slower than I expected, but I wouldn't say I ever run out of things to do in DCS with the modules I currently own. run come save me
BuzzU
Nobody said the Viper will be finished this year. The Hornet was supposed to be but it won't make it. I'm guessing the Viper will take another two years to finish if we look at how long the Hornet is taking. 1 Buzz
Viking 1-1
Nobody said it will be finished this year. They even said that the "main Viper support" would start in 2021, since they are focussing on the Hornet right now. Before you call everything a "bug": RTFM & try again! FoxOne007
ED already stated that it wasn't going to be finished in 2020 just like the Hornet. additionally we're also missing more TGP options like the menu to set frag rings, etc. and the HSD is missing a ton of symbology [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

gavagai
Not even in 2021. I'm really curious why the Hornet is getting HMD improvements while the Viper is not.:music_whistling: P-51D | Fw 190D-9 | Bf 109K-4 | Spitfire Mk IX | P-47D | WW2 assets pack | F-86 | Mig-15 | Mig-21 | Mirage 2000C | A-10C II | F-5E | F-16 | F/A-18 | Ka-50 | Combined Arms | FC3 | Nevada | Normandy | Straight of Hormuz | Syria

FoxOne007
Do we know if our Viper is supposed to get those HMD upgrades? Slightly curious. It should be somewhat similar to what the A-10 has though ofc not 1:1 the same, for AA mode Wags just dropped a video with more symbology on that front (and some more to come) of which at least some is hopefully coming to the Viper as well [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Jack_Veil
So the F-16C Viper owners are B class customers than the F-18 Hornet owners are A class customers.. Sad, but true... 1
Eaglewings
The Hornet was release into early access way before the F-16 came on board.I think it is only logical to follow a first-in-first-out approach. Looking like it is no longer feasible to develop these two iconic modules simultaneously. Pretty sure the Viper will be getting some works along with Ed intensive drive to get the Hornet out of early access.Equally looking forward to the Viper development. Sad, but true... Oh, Stop being so dramatic. ED have a finite amount of development capacity, and they are pushing to get the Hornet finished. It was after all released over a year before the F-16 so It only makes sense that it gets finished first. taco3rd
I think we'll all turn into Top Gun level sim pilots as it gets updated and easier to fly. Turn and burn.

Sad, but true... Dear Jack, this is not true at all, the only thing that is true is that the F/A-18C came out before the F-16C, and therefore the priority to finish the F/A-18C remains higher, that said, we have hired new devs for the F-16C months ago, and they continue to work away on the F-16C. All customers of all our modules are important to us, we do our best to make sure we meet their expectations the best we can based on how many dev hours we have in a day. Blinky.ben
ED admitted they bit of more then they could chew with having both those modules in such early access. So they even made an announcement they are going to push harder on the F-18 and once complete turn their attention to the F-16C. so I may agree they did stuff up in the beginning but I will give them credit for owning the mistake. I did read on a Mi-24 forum that they will never do the same thing again. So lesson learnt. No point continuing to bash them for a mistake they owned and learnt from.
Southernbear
Technically they said the F-16 *might* roll over to Q1 2021...but they did say they wanted the others out of EA by end of 2020...and I don't see the Viper being out of EA by Q1 2021
