I was just wondering if any skinners out there would be interested in creating a new UI for Lock On to spice things up a bit. The one we have now has been the same ever since Lock On first came out! (excluding the one additional picture of the Su-25T added to the bottom of the main UI when FC came out). So I just wanted to throw this idea out there and see if anyone with photoshop would like this idea, and help me with this project. In particular, I was hoping someone would create a higher resolution UI or more specially, a widescreen UI since a lot of people are running on that recently.

I'm currently using a modified version of the main, along with 2 small mod of my own: the loadout background and the loading screens

This is what mines currently looks like now

As you can see, it cannot compete with the awesome FUI of Black Sea Operation. But since that's not going to come out, neither will these FUI. So I propose we start our own thing. We have plenty of talented skinners around here. I have plenty of pictures and ideas, anyone care to help?

Cool UIs oO woo really I am impressed.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

Great idea. I have only one suggestion for the main view, could it be more universal as we have East and West and a neutral main screen IMO would be the way to go. Remainder perfect. Hope you can pull it off.

Well, I tweaked the main page just a little, although I'm still not satisfied with it, tell me what you think and how I should change it up. So far, this is for widescreens only. I'm still looking for some people to help change up the other menus as well, not only the main screen. Those boys that were working on the BSO sure knew how to do it.

Well one of the main problems is contrast. What I mean is the main picture in the middle (the one with the 2 F-15E and planes exploding in the background). Although that picture looks great, when its in game, the words are in mint green, so its a bit hard to see it. Its best if that picture is dark, but I can't really find a suitable picture to put in there.

The weird thing about lock on is that most of the texture files is in a square, like 512x512, or 1024x1024. The stock one was 1024x1024, but I wanted a higher res, so I went for 1600x1600. So its tricky to make this because once I make the menu screen, I then have to stretch it to fit the square, but in game is fine.

I'm re-doing the weapons pictures for the payload editor in my free time too...

No time line though, but it shouldn't take too long.

Hey guys,

I have been away from the LOMAC community for a while. I've just heard the news that BS will not be integrated into LOMAC:FC, which means that all the work done by the team can definitely still be implemented. Superkungfu, shoot me a PM if you want to offer a helping hand in finishing the user interface for BSO.. we can get the project finished and out finally.
