Frederf
When employing Maverick using EO VIS submode and after the aiming box has been designated it is impossible to change SOI to TGP and slew pod. This is required for TGP automatic handoff while in EO VIS which is consequently impossible.F16 EO VIS TGP impossible.trk
Scubamurph
TMS up with the WPN page as SOI and you lockup in VIS. Not sure why you would try to select the TGP after you had a target on the WPN page with the MAV in VIS mode. Having the MAV in VIS locks the TGP to the MAV seeker so it cannot be slewed anyway. VIS should allow you to refine your aiming point/SPI with the TGP just like in DTOS. In fact VIS is described as one of the two modes used to boresight the TGP and Mav. Frederf
EO VIS is one of the modes where TGP automatic handoff is possible. I.e. designate the HUD box, switch to TGP, slew over the target, point track, automatic handoff. WPN is never SOI. In an unrelated issue it should take two TMS forward presses to get WPN SOI. The first designate grounds the box but HUD remains SOI. The second designate after the box is ground stabilized moves SOI to WPN. In DCS it's doing both steps with one press. This was a behavior change in one of the OFP updates.
