Propeller wind sound

To be precise there is a wind sound when canopy is opened with pilot head outside in a wind stream. This is nice and realistic effect but is available only when the airplane is airborne. Therefore when airplane is on ground with engine running there is no wind sound but it should be either because of propeller moving air like in a real life. So I suggest when airplane is airborne wind rush effect to be stronger and when on ground with engine running a tad weaker.

I was hoping to get some insight into development of stress- overheat-damage model of the radial engines.

Particularly with A-8 being released state it looks pessimistic at the moment.

Thanks

This work is near completion. Both for P-47 and for A-8.

The wind rush effect on the ground is very noticeable too if you increase the RPM.

But yes, it is almost silent with Idle RPM. In this case, I can make it more noticeable.

Many thanks for your report

Thanks :) I would add brake squeal and gear creak too. DCS WW2 shines in ground handling department.

What I meant was squeal of the original shoe brakes if it was any in reality. Somebody more familiar can chime in.

I think it would be useful to have audible feedback when we use brakes.
