Extreme high G maneuvers result in the plane warping for everyone else in the game

Title says it all.  Easily reproduceable:  create a mp mission, get in a plane, have someone else get in tactical commander and watch your icon when the maneuvers are made.  This can cause enemy missiles to go stupid since they cant follow the warping

  • MobiSev changed the title to Extreme high G maneuvers result in the plane warping for everyone else in the game

This is a known issue, high AoAs in MP for some reason induce desync.

Probably related to this one?

Sort of, yeah.  It only really seems to happen during high AoA turns (it's fine when the player being watched is flying straight).  It can get pretty bad at times.

Something like this?

Yep, that's it.  It can cause missiles to bleed energy like crazy or go stupid and miss.

I've got a MP track from a BFPG session showing lots of instances of this happening. Unfortunately it is 182mb, and the max file size for upload here is now 5mb.

Looking through my other tracks, I see very few that are even close to being within this size restriction. How does this work?

Am I missing something?

  • 3 weeks later...

Anyone who has played long enough has seen the effect high AoA has on the game and also people seemingly deliberately exploiting this to avoid missiles and gunfire. Can we please have some attention on the high AoA warping issue.
