I’m brand new to DCS and VR (got both a week ago). I have i7 10700k, RTX 3090 and 64GB DDR4. Still working on getting my Oculus dialed in. I’m currently using DCS standalone. I’m not very savvy with all of this stuff.

Are these good settings for me to follow? I downloaded vrperfkit but haven’t messed with it. Should I use shaders too?

Specs: i7 13700KF @ 5.5, 64Gb RAM, RTX 4090, Pimax Crystal

So, I should update these.

I am currently using OpenXR, and so neither using VRPerfkit nor shaders.

My internal dcs settings are still fine.

I believe you can, I don't have an Oculus headset, so I have no way of knowing.

OP Updated OpenXR

Thanks for the 3dMigoto tip, removing the Rotor from Apache did the trick, now OpenXR is playable. Tried playing wihout reprojecton, but I cant stand the microjitter. MR on is the way to go for me too. And the sharpening tool for exterior was awesome, havent seen that since the Folhger ReShade Mod.

Can you kindly provide your settings of 3dmigoto and OpenXR? I found it is kinda hard to tune the color And I own a G2 too.

Here is my 3d3x user ini file for 3dmigoto

]d3dx_user.ini

I don't really do much colour tuning at the moment, and ultimately everyone is different.

For the OXRTK

I have Upscaling Off, Motion Reprojection Unlocked , FFR -> Preset -> Quality -> Wide, I have my Saturation at Global 60, and that's it. HTH

Thanks for this, the Apache rotor delete has me back to using MR again and it's buttery goodness

edit: and also thanks for all your comprehensive testing, super helpful

Hes suggesting going into your EUFI BIOS setting and enabling multimonitor support. I assume its an MSI thing but its been a while since I last seen my BIOS either. Ill give it a looksee.

I don't have an iGPU, as my processor is a KF series CPU, and i cant think how using one would help, it never has in the past (when i had an i7-8700k)...

Why is your XMP off?

And have you really only got 8GB of RAM? I'd be looking at that if you want to solve performance issues. Your system is going to be swapping pages of memory out to hard disk constantly. 32GB is minimum, 64GB recommended and 3600MHz.

No.

The only thing windows will have done is add the igpu driver for your cpu

That won't make any difference

Last thing that came to my mind was time Ive testing. It was after midnight, and my Win Focus was set 7.00-24.00. Now I find I could disable it at all. Also it could be serwer related - they must restart it yesterday after patch.
