I designated a waypoint, which was just over 60 miles away and couldn't see anything on the tgp. As I got closer, around 40 miles, I could see the terrain appearing on the ddi as I I got closer. I have visual range set to ultra. Just wondering if this is normal behaviour in the sim or I'm missing a setting somewhere. INTEL i9 9900k @ 5Ghz, Asus Z390 strix ROG, 32gb 3200mhz Ram, Nvidia GTX 1080Ti, Corsair RM850i, Corsair H110i,, HP REVERB, Win 10 64bit. Normal behavior for an engine limitation. OP asked if he was doing something wrong; he's not. It's like this on all aircraft. There have to be some compromises... and that's what we have with the current TGP, which is reasonable. Like rendering the far most pixels with extremely low resolution. This will make the image look more realistic with low performance impact. Would be nice if ED sorted it out some day, so we don't have a big hit in fps. Maybe the further away the lower resolution.
