CsfDeathDemon Posted January 9, 2021 Share Posted January 9, 2021 Hey folks. I am brand new to the game and the learning curve is insane. I have completed all the tutorials for the 18. I load into multiplayer with a hot aircraft. I take off master arm on and select guns on my stick. However the gun funnel does not show up, I also don't get the ccip pipper in A/G mode. Sometimes I get it but usually I don't. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

CsfDeathDemon Posted January 10, 2021 Author Share Posted January 10, 2021 (edited) Ok so this is what I have I have noticed that it seems to happen when I take my INS out of IFA for take off. Cycling it back does not bring back the gun cross. Setting the INS to IFA wasn't even in the tutorials lol. Also basic questions will probably help I have like 10 hours in the hornet and only 30 in the game. Tholozor Posted January 10, 2021 Share Posted January 10, 2021 Judging by your left DDI, I can see INS ATT and INS DEGD cautions. Your alignment is not complete. When on the ground or on the carrier, perform a normal alignment (or use STOR HDG if heading doesn't change). Once the alignment reads OK, move the INS knob to NAV (if GPS is not available) or IFA (if GPS is available; the ADV line will show 'P/INS' if GPS is available and the INS knob is in the NAV position).
