Bremspropeller
And on a related note: https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/37885/air-force-to-build-alternate-airbase-on-tinian-island-in-case-guam-gets-knocked-out On another related note: The Morest-Gear seems interesting and would be a nice addition to mission-building on other maps, too. 2 So ein Feuerball, JUNGE! Skysurfer
For sure would bring in some more challenging airfields to operate from.
Chaz
From ED's Facebook post today: The four runways at North Field were lettered "A", "B", "C" and "D" from north to south and were said to resemble the deck of a busy aircraft carrier. The North Field airbase was the first loading and launching point for the atomic bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. At the end of WWII the base was placed in a standby status and officially closed in March, 1947. Bremspropeller
Well, one could always decide to FARP it and building one's own expeditionary base there. Cunctator
That's actually done regularly IRL during exercises since the last few years. First aircraft landing there since 1947 was a C-130 in 2012. Edited February 13, 2021 by Cunctator
