Reverb G2 Head Tracking Problem

Greetings! I wonder if anyone has stumbled upon the same problem with Reverb G2. All of a sudden, without any obvious changes the headset has developed a problem tracking head position in longitudinal / lateral and vertical axes. The problem manifests itself in slight jittering when keeping head still. When I look around, e.g. turn head 90* left or right I see that the camera starts slowly creeping forward, even though I don't change the position of my head. This is causing quite a lot of issues when looking around, having to constantly reset the head position.

Like I mentioned, it started happening out of the blue. There where no changes in drivers, settings or lightning conditions. I have re-calibrated the gaming space in WMR settings, but that did not help with the problem. Any ideas or tips?

The camera creeping thing happens to me from time to time and clearing my environment in WMR windows settings clears it up.

Could you elaborate what do you mean by clearing environment in WMR windows? Thanks!

To remove all of this data, open Settings, navigate to "Mixed Reality", and select the Environment section of the left-hand side menu. Select the button labeled "Clear Environment Data" to remove all environment and tracking data.

After you clear the data, the next time you use your headset WMR will ask you to look up, down, side to side in order to record your surroundings as you go into the cliffhouse.

This problem is there since at least the G1. When it happens I do the following and most of the time it helps:

Cover all cameras (G1 2 Cameras, G2 4 Cameras) with your hands/fingers, so that the tracking stops. Then you still can look around, but your position is fixed. Keep the cameras covered.

Now look around. 90deg to both sides. Look up and down at -90, -45, 0, +45, +90 deg. Repeat.

Uncover the cameras and your position will switch. Now reset with the in game position reset.

If that doens't help, restart PC.

If that doesn't help clear environment like timcat said.
