[FIXED INTERNALLY] TGP North arrow does not point North

The North arrow in the TGP does not point North ever. The aircraft can be facing north while having the TGP in the boresight position and the TGP will be showing North in a completely different direction.

Because of this, it is very difficult to figure out what direction stuff is when looking at it through the TGP.

Yep, gives me real concerns on whoever the SME is, as this is not reflective of real world operations or hardware.

Already reported, and Razbam SME said it is correct....

Sounds like a miscommunication as its clearly not correct. What good is a North arrow that never points North?

I hope it is...

I think the "dot" that indicates where the TPOD is looking is wrong too...

Is known, is being tracked. Currently testing as well as implementing ellipse and having the two play together.

Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass.

What is the elipse?

the little square at the outer side of the TGP screen that shows in which direction the Tpod is looking right now.

at the moment it shows little wrong value because it moves down if the Tpod is looking down and not just move according to direction the pod is looking at.

if the target is on your 3 o‘clock the ellipse should also be at the 3 o‘clock position. but if your 10.000 feet ablve the target it will instead show at 4-5 o‘clock position because of height difference.

Shouldn't the eclipse be at center of TPOD looks straight down, and then move to edges if pod looks straight to horizon, otherwise it would point to the direction where pod looks and angle from below to horizon?

And shouldn't we get the lines for the masking as well so that eclipse would allow when it is closing to it?

But anyways, the compass rose turns oddly to vertical direction as well.  But that probably gets fixed with proper direction anyways.

All wrong. Ellipse shows a circe relative to the ground that can be set and show reference for distance as well as radius.

Issue with the N arrow has been fixed internally for the next patch. Will update after next patch date.
