I’m new to DCS but have flown study level jets e.g. PMDF 737, 747 and 777 in MSFS for many years. I own a CH Products yoke and saitek pedals. Main flying in DCS will be helis. I’ve been flying the Huey but my old MS Sidewinder joystick won’t cut it. Any recommendations on a first HOTAS system? I’ve been looking at the Thrustmaster 16000M or Saitek X52 Pro but open to recommendations.

I would definitely go for a joystick system in conjunction with rudder pedals, rather than a twist grip option.

on my second rig (mainly for testing and programming), I have a X52pro connected. OK for fixed wing, almost undoable with rotors.

Just for consideration.

Yes correct.,

A lot of people may hit you up with what they feel is the best just do your research on the advice given.

I had an X52 for many years lasted a long time until I decided to change it for something else.

I also had a MS Sidewinder good ol days.
