Flappie Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 You should take a look at your Windows Event manager at the time of your crashes (System log, App log) to get more info if there is any. Also, even though your PSU looks sturdy enough, try monitoring its voltages while playing DCS, and see if there's anything supsicious when the crash happens. ---
Flappie Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Another thing to test out is emptying this directory: C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\NV_Cache It contains NVIDIA global shader cache files. Close DCS, select all files in this folder, delete, and hit "Ignore" when Windows says it cannot delete all files (browsers have files in here as well). ---
Flappie Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Yet another thing to test out : NVIDIA debug mode. ---
klabo_71st Posted March 7, 2021 Author Posted March 7, 2021 I did empty C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\NV_Cache. I'll try Nvidia debug mode " that is great tip"
klabo_71st Posted March 7, 2021 Author Posted March 7, 2021 OK did try Nvidia debug mode and didn't work dcs.log-20210307-182743.zip
Flappie Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Hi @klabo_71st. How is our DCS going? Have you checked GPU Scheduling yet? I have yet another idea: you said you issue started when you upgraded your RAM. You can put your memory to the test thanks to W10 Memory Diagnostics Tool. ---
klabo_71st Posted March 9, 2021 Author Posted March 9, 2021 Yes I did. It was off. Tried in nvidia debug mode and was crushing. So I turned on GPU Scheduling "for sake" in nvidia debug mode or in default "no different" and fly for about hour on autopilot . changed views turned of autopilot fly around with joystick and using keyboard. Then use clickable cockpit, when on monitor mouse . When in VR controller and freeze almost immediately. If in VR pretty much disconnected VR from computer for few second. I had to reconnect to link ( Quest 2 Link) then i gest DCS.log error. In monitor get DCS .log right after freeze and crush. I'll send DCS.logs later if you like to see it. Dhere is something wrong with game 95% positive NOW. Maybe instead create new clouds and ....... It will be nice to fix reliability of the game so can function with new hardware and drivers.
Flappie Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Wait, you're telling me DCS crashes only when you interact with your peripherals? It could be linked to some mouse/joystick software. Do you have any installed? Razer Synapse for instance? If so, disable them through Task Manager, reboot, and see if DCS is fine. ---
klabo_71st Posted March 10, 2021 Author Posted March 10, 2021 Well, find out I was flying DSC in open composite " what I'm using for IL-2" so I switched to Steam. No crush for about 4 hours flying in VR: A-10C, SU 25 ( using bombs), BF 109 and Spitfire in varies scenarios with all controllers and clickable cockpit. . Then crush when I went to dogfight with 109. Will do more testing later today. Stitching: There is was something wrong with my set up 95%
Flappie Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 I'm glad you can enjoy the game, at last. Looking forward to reading your feedback. ---

klabo_71st Posted March 11, 2021 Author Posted March 11, 2021 Spoke to soon. Still crashing , not so y bet crashing. dcs.log-20210311-021815.zip dcs.log-20210311-030908.zip dcs.log-20210311-033235.zip
Flappie Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 That is strange: you made a change that allowed you to play 4 hours without a crash, and now you're back to a a crash every 10 minutes. Are you sure Open Composite is not messing with DCS again? Try disabling it through the Task Manager maybe? 7 hours ago, Blinde said: Should this page file be on Windows drive or the one with DSC installed? It doesn't matter it the pagefile is stored on the system drive, on the game drive, or on another one. The pagefile must be stored on one of your fastest drives. Also, the drive must have enough free space to allow the pagefile to grow to its max size. 1 ---
klabo_71st Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 Hi, Good news is, now I can fly for 15-25 min without crush . And after new DCS update I developed this. Just getting better and better
klabo_71st Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 It is like that all the time. Just randomly flickers
Flappie Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 This is known as the "orange glitch". This bug dates back to last December I believe. It happens only with WWII modules and WWII maps. BIGNEWY said the next patch might fix it. ---
Flappie Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 I'm sorry I can't help you further, mate. I don't have a clue what's happening to you. Have you got any news from the official support? ---
Flappie Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 Can you please attach your active process list? (howto) I'll see if I can find a process known to mess with DCS. ---
klabo_71st Posted March 13, 2021 Author Posted March 13, 2021 Hello Seems like there is something process_list.txt
