jnr4817 Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 Several other modules have the NS430 hard mounted in the aircraft. The huey would benefit immensely. It's about time its added. Thank you 1 9800x3d|64 GB 6200|4090|m.2 x2 http://www.blacksharkden.com/ Come join us!

Kev2go Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 (edited) Its not necessary should in the future ED consider remodeling Uh1H, if they wish to include a GPS that was actually used in military hueys it should to be a Circa late 90s Uh1H huey. By that point us army UH1H's had the AN/ASN175 GPS module installed, as well as AN/ARC 220 digital radio set. Wrench Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 Agreed. I'm VR only for a few years now having given away my TrackIR. I'd sure like to be able to use the NS430. There are plenty of places in that cockpit you could bodge the Garmin. Carrier Script.
Taco-Taylor Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 +1, would be nicer to have an of the era GPS but I think that'd be a Huey II upgrade, for now however a $5.99 NS430 integration would work just fine

Damn you must tease all the hopes up for fancy new features On 2/11/2021 at 11:32 PM, Kev2go said: Is that... a data cartridge in it? That white card slot? Well, Just thinking about how cool it would be to have a AI as Co-Pilot that would actually do the navigation, tell the heading and distance and speed etc. Correct if flying too long at wrong direction and update periodically the status if "going well" anyways. I would like that almost more than a GPS unit as it would be closed to fly with a human friend. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
ebabil Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 It should be like rocket science because it has been wanted since the gps was first released but we never could get an answer to this request..
