GR00VYJERRY Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 I read about all the reports of spotting difficulties when getting higher resolution screens but didn’t realize how significant the change was when going from 1080 to 1440. Hard to see anything until it is right on you almost. I get the reason behind it but man I hope my eyes adjust and I get better because right now it makes some MP servers really difficult.
Lange_666 Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 (edited) Yeah those pixel are tiny, certainly if the dimensions of your screen didn't grow the same size as your resolution did (i'm in the same boot, from a 1920x1200 24" to a 2560x1440 27"). I just wonder how some people can see a one pixel target on 4K on a 27" monitor. shu77 Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 Funnily enough I went from 1080p" @ 27" to 1440p @32" and I found that it was lot better to spot things, I think it really depends on the size of your screen. GR00VYJERRY Posted February 23, 2021 Author Posted February 23, 2021 Maybe if I had gone up to 32 inches it would have been better but at 27 the best I can see is at 8miles. I built a mission where the target and I are at the same altitude at 10 miles. I put labels on. I would pause the game every mile and see where I could start to see the dot when I turned off labels. At 8 miles is when the dot becomes visible and when I say visible you have to strain to see it. it is a really nice monitor but man does it suck for spotting.
