NVG

Hey,

I tried out the NVG on the Gazelle and there is a strange behaviour.

Sometimes the NVG Vision is really bad. I start the mission, jump in the Heli (HOT) and toggle the NVG. I noticed that the cockpit lights differs too in that two cases. I don't tuch anything after starting the mission.

3. Picture: NVG not working

4. Picture: Cockpit Lights dim

Any suggestions?

A bit of a thread resurrection, but I've just noticed the NVG gain (at least in the UH-1, on the Marianas map) appears to be odd again.  On a moonless but clear night it seems like the ambient light level is WAY lower than would be expected.  So low in fact that nothing that wasn't illuminated by man-made lighting was visible at all unless the NVG gain was at maximum, but then the man made lighting was so bright everything was blown out.  It seemed almost like maybe a 1st gen NVG would be (but not sure, never used anything that old) but certainly not like anything at or beyond 2nd gen (aka early 1990s) technology.
