Hotdog17 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Hi all - I am trying to sort out my port forwarding, as for some reason, I can no longer host multiplayer servers. One of the guides I was looking at shows a method whereby you modify the network.lua file. However, I don't have this file. I have one called network.vault Anyone able to help here? It's a ball ache as whenever I create a mission for me and friends to fly, I have to email it to them in order to use it. It all used to work fine, but just stopped working one day.. I am on OB by the way. Cheers.
Flappie Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 (edited) Hi @Hotdog17. I believe the network.lua script doesn't exist anymore (a few changes have been made since 2012 ). Anyway, you're not supposed to mess with DCS files to be able to host an online server. I need a few answers to help you out: Are you trying to host from your DCS client installation, or from the DCS dediacted server? Have you changed your router recently? Have you checked your firewall rules? I had this issue once, and the answer was simple: my router gave my PC a different IP address, and the DCS rule I had set in this router was using my former address. Check the DCS NAT rule in your router and ensure the specified IP address matches your PC's. Edited March 12, 2021 by Flappie ---
