Maverick handoff issue when starting from cold and dark

Hello, I have a issue with Maverick target handoff when I am starting F-16 from cold and dark state.

When I start mission from the air there is no issue with target handoff and Maverick seeker head is looking directly to the target after handoff is initiated.

 

But when I start plane from cold and dark there is an issue with handoff.

 

Let me describe my procedure how I do it:

1) select A/G mode

2) select Maverick H and turn PWR ON

3) select PRE mode

4) select and designate target by TGP

5) initiate handoff to the Maverick

 

When I do this Maverick seeker head tries to look to the target but it does not look directly on the target but cca 300 m away. (that is the issue)

 

Even when I try to slew Maverick by myself and lock target rocket misses target by a lot.

 

Could you please help me? I am probably missing something in the process...

Hi,

 

Automatic hand-off of a TGP tracked target to an AGM-65H/K/L is not supported (only possible for IR Mavericks).

 

Youn could manualy hand-off H maverick, but the borreisight should be done first.

You mavericks might not be boresigthed. Its already done for you when you air start, but has to be manually done if you start on the ground.
