I have set quick mission with one F18 - armed with AGM-84E - and two enemy trucks one AA and one radar...I set AI at ACE level one F-18 40 miles from target on 30000 feet...And AI shoots one missile - destroys one truck, and than keeps flying the enemy position and over it start circling.. .

Come on developers...can you tweak AI - why does it fly in straight line toward enemy poisition after first missile? Why doesnt AI reposition itself immediately for another pass?

Hi, the AI is doing what you have asked it to do, search in zone and fly its waypoints. In this case waypoint 2 is over the target area. 

 

Place waypoint 2 somewhere else, the AI will still carry out its search and engage in zone but will return to the waypoint after each attack.

Thanks..I was having problems with pontus campaign where my AI flights dissapeared without getting shotdown, and Sead not doing what it should do..

I have one more question - what does this mean? I cant find what does -ref mean

It means that task was assigned at a previous waypoint and is still active. So if there was a stop condition at a certain waypoint was setup then after that waypoint the task will disappear. Worth noting that if you have a "search and engage in zone" and a "sead" task active then the AI will do both. Depending on what was assigned first will be used as the priority. So it would be possible for AI to detect sams outside the preferred engagement zone and attack that first then run out of weapons and totally ignore what you actually wanted them to focus on.
