Cannot get Atlantic Wall mission to work… help!

I’m trying to fly the Atlantic wall escort mission in single player mode.

 

Get in, select Ai Wingman, startup. Never get a “chocks away” from the ground crew (Am I not waiting long enough?). Then taxi across to the other running spits and line up on the runway (Should I be lined up by the Bedford truck..?).

 

No flare so eventually takeoff anyway, and then flying the headings given I never find the bombers, nor can see any labels apart from one B17 on the ground (Yes I did set the directional gyro off the compass).

 

Deeply frustrating. What am I doing wrong? Am I not touching a trigger point? Lined up in the wrong place..? Any advice gratefully received.

 Hi Jumpjim, Changes to the Channel Map mean the mission does not at present function as intended. A fix is in the pipeline. Cheers.
