IronChancellor Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Does the Mi-24P have an automatic reticle for unguided rockets (like the su-25A), or is it a static reticle (like the Mi-8)? 1
Northstar98 Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 (edited) For the pilot-commander I'm pretty sure it does - it has a very similar sight at least. I've no idea how it works out the range though (maybe QFE, like the Viggen?) Sarge55 Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 (edited) Great video, thanks. The lower right sight under the fixed sight looks just like the one in the Su-25A so I would presume there is a laser also available. Which means you can laze for range. All speculation since I don't understand Russian. Lucas_From_Hell Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 The second sight is an indication of where the gunner's scope is pointed at. Great for marking targets, and necessary for employing the Shturm. 1

In other positions, the aiming point is determined by Sight computer (ATsVU) in automatic modes (or setting by knobs in manual mode) 4 2
