Suggestion for new airfield on Normandy Map

Surely a 1 hour job to add a polygon area to the map to allow planes to land on the map ... or fix the borked landing off field characteristics ? Or even better ... allow custom map edits to place limited fobs and grass strips to allow some mixing up of missions , this could also really benefit the modern scene 👍

It's great to see some general updates and bug fixes coming in the next Open Beta (hopefully) for this map. Another  6 weeks on from the last request for an update, is there any indication as to whether this may be a possibility?  Did they (Ugra) get the email, or is it in their spam folder?

I would love to get a more detailed update on this as well.

Would it be possible to have Dinan-Trélivan added to the normandy map i the south west. It would be in Grid WU76.

Be low is a screenshot from a description of this afield, including lat/ long.

Next image is the approx location on the Normandy map:

This website has been shared in IL2 Sturmovik forum, Normandy topic. So i think it useful for Ugra-Media if they have plan to add some airfields to Normandy map.

Airfields should be fixed: Evreux runway alignment: (1) approx. 1645 meters (1800 yards) aligned NE/SW, and (2) approx. 1600 meters (1750 yards) aligned E/W.

Conches: grass surface on clay sub-soil. There were 2
concrete runways - (1) 1830 meters (2000 yards) aligned NE/SW, and (2) 1600 meters (1750 yards) aligned NW/SE. Each runway had an assembly hardstand at both ends. A perimeter road encircled the landing area. Both runways were equipped with permanent illumination and visual Lorenz systems, while the airfield had perimeter lighting and a beam approach system.

Airfields could be added: Saint-André-de-l’Eure

I've managed to add some basic landable airfields using blender and its edm exporter , if possible could these be added as an official asset or could a game grade version of this be added ( it's really basic but will solve a lot of issues regarding mission planning and should be an easy win for you devs ) also , I've found a bug on normandy  the remove trees and objects trigger zone and trigger doesnt work here. Cheers.

+1 Adding an "airfield surface" object would be fantastic for mission makers to expand by adding in airfields where their please. Would be great for adding them next to historical locations or as close as possible, also opens up the mission opportunities, Walshtimothy above has proven this concept, (Could you post your video please so ED can see?)

Would be great if ED could support talented modders such as @Walshtimothy with proper editor support so they can really flesh out terrains to reach their full potential. Right now, the Normandy map in particular is missing essentially all of the Luftwaffe's historical airfields during Overlord. And support like this along with expansion of the map itself would be of great benefit to the DCS WWII community.

Not sure if it has been stated already, but adding to this map, would greatly please the ww2 community and a way to enhance the general DCS sandbox would be allowing mission makers to create airfields/farps. Not only would that benefit ww2 but would be huge for the helo fellas aswell.

+1 to new airfields

+1 to ability to create new airfields

Yes, please buff DCS WW2 this way. With all the updates and fixes it’s finally taking off but a better Normandy would bring the experience to a new level

In case others are put off by the totally crap looking example , the actual one I would envisage looking more natural , with a runway , tents , maybe some trees on the sides etc and will be significantly smaller lol . I'd imagine it will also be destructable and hence actual airfields can be destroyed with sufficient firepower... but I would need some ed support to enable cratering etc as I am no modder , learning as I go here. Thanks for support chaps and again , the main aim is to add extra airfields and this would be ancillary to this main request as noted by Phil styles at the start if this thread.
