new clouds corruption

Recommended Posts

more testing shows its happens regardless of preset selected or time of day.

but it seems to happen only in novorossiysk. not in batumi for example. i also didnt see it in syria.

and as soon as i lift of from runway, it disappears.

GTX 1080Ti here. You have no mods installed, right?

only SRS, hornet countermeasure programming and display export renaming.

i tried it without them right now, its exactly the same.

however now testing a bit more, i found out that its not happening with a-10c2 and l-39. it is happening with viper and hornet. it may be related to whats being rendered in the cockpit, which could also explain why the bug isnt visible with free camera.

My issue is rather intermittent, a couple frames at a certain angle at most. I haven't found a way to consistently recreate it, but it looks identical when it happens.

Exact same thing happens to me, generally its not too disturbing, im using AMD RX 590.

some new info

when im parked in hornet in novorossiysk, it happens.

when i take off from hornet in novorossiysk, it stops happening.

when im parked in hornet in batusmi, it doesnt happen.

when im parked in l-39 in novorossiysk, it doesnt happen.

when im flying any aircraft at any place, it sporadically very rarely happens for a fraction of second.

when im parked in hornet in novorossiysk and i switch to free camera but dont move (= it stays in cockpit head position), it happens. as soon as i move the camera, it stops happening (same way as when i take off).

conclusion: the bug occurs when camera is at particular Y coordinate or coordinates.

Hi all,

I can not reproduce this.

Are any of you using shader mods?

please keep adding short tracks showing it

amd drivers version 21.3.1, should be the latest

i have also tried setting all those driver options to either "use application's settings" or disabled. it made no difference.

of course

it is unlikely the game would damage itself in the same exact way for all 3 of us with the same GPU family...

You are welcome. Just for the record, after a clean update to 2.7, I ran the repair and found several issues. It was just a suggestion.

I am also experiencing this with VEGA 64 tho not in the same intensity as on the video, but it can be seen even in flight at altitude when you move camera around, sometimes you will see that black rectangles/squares flicker for a moment.

Using latest WHQL drivers 21.3.1

Same here, using a AMD Vega 64 drivers 20.11.2

Clean DCS, no Mods, Ran a repair already but that didn't help.

They don't appear all the time, they appear briefly like in a flash of a second when I fly around and look around. And they don't appear when looking in a free camera like F2.

@Larry BrownIn 2.7, a black sea means your Gamma setting is very low. Try a higher Gamma setting.

By the way, this thread deals with a rotating glitch. You should create a new thread and attach screenshots of your clouds.
