uist1
I’ve always had a problem with Syria ram usage. My system uses the whole 32gb when on multiplayer on the syria map and simce 2.7 it’s no different although FPS has improved. I still get hang ups and freezing as a result. Is this normal?
wasserschorle
Same here. Syria was unplayable for me in 2.5, crashed nearly everytime after a while in MP. Also full usage of 32GB RAM. I guess we have to wait for 3.0 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Avimimus
I've got 16 GB of ram... anyone have settings that'll allow me to actually fly on most parts of the map? I technically exceed the minimum system requirements for the map - so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong: Minimum system requirements (LOW graphics settings): OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Intel Core i3 at 2.8 GHz or AMD FX; RAM: 8 GB (16 GB for heavy missions); Free hard disk space: 60 GB; Discrete video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 / AMD R9 280X or better; requires internet activation. naizarak
the memory usage is ridiculous. with 32gb of ram i regularly see 90%+ allocation and paging file activity, so even 32gb isn't enough. and apparently they want to add cyprus on top of this? Shmegegge 1-1 Aero
DCS as a whole is pretty RAM hungry. It takes as much as it can get. Try lowering your preload radius maybe?
Alpiinoo
With 8 gb ram it's unplayable.

Shmegegge 1-1 Aero
Hoggit is notorious for bad performance. They have a lot of scripts running, so there isn't much you can do. DCS uses as much RAM as it can get, so don't be worried about 98-99% RAM utilization.

I have 64 GB of physical memory and DCS uses still only around 32 in Syria. Though, no pagefile activity.
