skypirate
I'm I the only one feeling the MFD's are not bright enough in VR? At night/dawn/dusk the MFD's are fine, not so much during daytime.. The HUD and the UFC displays are OK. ED, crank up the MFD brightness maybe? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Regards!
toilet2000
If you have the stereo parser/fustrum culling option enabled in autoexec.cfg, try disabling it. It solved the issue for me.

Sharkku
Same for me. I am pretty sure I disabled the frustum culling, but I'll check, just to make sure. Edit: stereo parser/Frustum culling was OFF. Edited April 20, 2021 by Sharkku
fitness88
I've been complaining about daytime MFD being too dim for over a year...I was told that is the way it is...
Sharkku
Well, it's even dimmer now, since the 2.7 update. It must be fixed.
Jethro11
Ya agreed, since 2.7 it is way harder to see. I had to turn up gamma just to read it.

dburne
Can't say I am having a brightness issue with the MFD's, more a readability issue in VR since 2.7. imacken
Strange that this issue is just ignored as far as we know. I mean, what is the point in having brightness controls if they are permanently full on, and still the MFD isn't bright enough. FoxTwo
It is pretty remarkable that cockpit lighting in a modern fighter aircraft is worse than my Lincoln's instrument lighting in the same daylight conditions.
dburne
What is strange to me is sometimes I have no issue with the brightness and other times I just can't get it bright enough. Don't know if that is related to time of day and/or weather or what. This is in the Hornet. Don't know if that is related to time of day and/or weather or what. This is in the Hornet. It's time of day/sun position mostly. The lighting engine and overall light output from cockpit devices is lessened as the global light intensity increases, and doesn't seem to take shadow into account. I know it's a terrible photo but it's through the lens, it's as accurate as I can get to explain how difficult it is to make out ANY symbology on the MFDs. Ignore the blurriness, and realize that the camera is actually picking up MORE light than is actually visible thanks to the exposure. This is with game gamma at 2.0. They are just nearly unreadable. Symbology is too dark, lines are too thin. Edited August 13, 2021 by FoxTwo
