kram56
Hi, I've just picked up Flamming Cliffs after nearly a years absence and I still wonder what the Missile Effectiveness slider does ? Does it effect my missiles, the AI's or both. Also is there another way to make the AI's missiles less effective apart from the Average, good and excellent ? Thanks in advance.
Kuky
missiles are not affected by AI skill. Missile slider affects missile effectiveness only (or so it should be as I don't know exactly how it affects it) No longer active in DCS... Jenk
I always leave it as default, as I too am a bit confused as to what it does, but a logical assumption would be to assume it is how effective at tracking they are. If the slider is maximum, it will be more difficult to shake off/evade a missile, where as if it is low, dumping chaff/flare would probably do the trick on it's own. Kuky
yup that's what I assume also. do some search on forums and I think you'll find better/more definite answer No longer active in DCS...

S77th-konkussion
Also- remember that the slider MUST be set to EXACTLY 50 or 100% or you will introduce a bug causing Mavericks (and possibly others) to miss every time. CapnGimp
I've always put mine at 85% on my server. Once in a great while, we'll have Mavs not want to lock. I always assumed it had been reset to low somehow. I'd shut down the server go in and move it back and forth 0-100, then set it at 85 again. I think I'll try some experimentation to see what's happening.
