Why is the horizontal attitude lines and dotted bomb drop line offset in the hud in this pic?

 

The only reason I can think of is that its a bug or its offset to counter against a cross wind?

Yes I'm pretty sure it only happens when Im connected to an online game.

Anyway your ratio is rather bad... for widescreens, try 1.6

Yes, that's a crosswind, and like Boberro said, go to lockon\config\graphics.cfg and change aspect ratio=1.3333333333 to Aspect ratio=1.6. That way, the screen won't be distorted.

Check the sideslip indicator at the bottom of the ADI, you can eliminate the slip by using the rudders.

There are cyclonic winds with windeshear at altitude on 2 servers online. I dont know why, maybe the authors dont like pitch laders and rather want them gone from the HUD.

Would you know the best aspect ratio for HD 16:10? 1.6 seems more for a 16:9...

 

Edit: nevermind actualy seems I was wrong I found this in the archives; http://forums.eagle.ru/archive/index.php?t-16466.html :thumbup: I will try 1.77777 instead to see I prefer this with my resolution.

Edit: Well 1.7777 was worst, was looking through a can of sardines :lol:, had to much shrinkage. Seems well for my taste at 1680x1080 or 1920x1200 aspect ratio of 1.5 is much nicer.;)

To find your correct ratio, you simply divide the width by the height. So in this cause 1920/1200 = 1.6. And 1680/1080 = 1.55556. But I never heard of that type of resolution, i think you mean 1680x1050 which is 1.6 ratio.

Your right, my rez is lockon is actualy 1680x1050, was a typo :D actualy 1.5 still looks better IMO;)

well i had that some times too but offline without crosswind. suddenly some day i never had that again. i assume it had to do with some mod i used 2 years ago but i do not know which one. sorry, no real help from me :-(

Ratio is in the eyes of be beholder. 1.6 just feels too tight.

The circumference of my cockpit seems arched to much for my taste. But thanks in showing me the mathematics behind it all. But in the end I`m sticking with 1.5.:)
