Problem with Grandsurf´s Airbase Mod

Hi, i have installed Grandsurf´s Airbase Mod Extreme version an this is my problem.

 

Only in summer the runway is complete and correct. In the rest of the seasons only the numbered part of the runway and parking areas are OK, the rest is missing.

 

Something like this.

 

 

I had edited the config file adding the lines that the readme shows and now no terrain or runways mods are installed at all ( Lo reload, Ground Pounder Terrain, ) only stock terrain and Grandsurf´s Airbase mod.

 

Someone could help me with this?

I've had the same issues with that airbase mod. It looks like you're using some other terrain mod. If its Ground Pounder, LOReloaded, or ruggbutt's, it already has updated air base textures. Another mod on top of it might conflict.

Nope.

 

I have not any mod terrain at all. All had been uninstalled. Now only stock air bases, stock terrain, plus Grandsurf´s Airbase mod.

Seems like leftovers from a previous mod taking precedence. Have you tried uninstalling the mod and reinstalling it? Who knows, sometimes the simplest things are the solution...

If that terrain in your screenshot is "stock terrain", then I'm a monkey's uncle. Are you positive? That really, really, REALLY looks like something Sim-Mod created. The give-away is that texture noise. I can tell you that even if you use only LOReloaded, which is summer only, it still adds that noise to the stock terrain.

 

If you have it uninstalled, then yeah, maybe there's leftover bits from the mod when it was installed...?

This pics were taken with LockOn Reload mod installed, but now, no mod are active.

 

I had checked my temptextures folder, and yes, a WPP_DARK.BMP are inside, but with or without it , the problem persists.

 

Also in the Extreme zip are three files, the airbase in bazar/world, and the two WPP files ( including WPP_DARK.BMP).

 

One strange thing is that when i erase WPP_DARK, in summer all is ok, but in the other seasons i have teh same missing textures.

 

If WPP_DARK and the other WPP are installed, the same occurs again.

I'm 90% sure I read somewhere that the airbase and terrain mods are not compatible with lockon ReLoad. Your going to have to uninstall all of that and then only install the airbase mod or visa versa (I think).

i think you should try both Grandsurf's LockOn Reload Ground_Airbase and Ruggbutt's Terrain Enhanced for FC

I will try to do my best in this explication.

 

I dont like LockOn Reload Terrain. The colors, for my taste, are a little bit bright and intense, and the Bloom Mod does not fit very well, ( all are darker and the colors are faded )

 

My favourite choice is: 1: Ground Pounder Terrain Beta from Rocky.

 

Pros: IMHO the best summer terrain out there. Looks fantastic and Bloom mod fits perfect.

Cons: Only summer terrain. The trees are the same in all seasons.

 

2: Grandsurf´s Airbase Mod

 

Pros: Fantastic air base textures at all levels. Is just nice and perfect

Cons: Only shows correct in summer, the remaining seasons had missing parts in the runway and taxi ways.

 

1 + 2 was my choice but NOW i preffer to have the trees with different colours in relation with the season, and the stock terrain is good enough for me.

 

Conclusion:

 

Stock terrain + Bloom Mod + Any Airbase Mod ALONE that improves the visuals.

 

 

Problem: WITHOUT ANY TERRAIN MOD AT ALL, and only Bloom Mod + Grandsurf´s Airbase mod, some textures are missing.

 

Maybe now my wishes and actual position are more clear.

 

If needed i can upload my config file and a pic of my mods installed.
