Okay, question: I read somewhere a long time ago that you would be able to walk around on the ground after ejecting (which I thought was a very funny joke because....why bother???) But looking at your posts above, I am now doubting myself...Soooo...CAN you eject and then walk around???

And then swing by the Armoury and pick up a couple of Stingers and get those f**kers that shot you down.

Hoo Hah.

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

yes you can take the windy walks across the map, until you get bored or lost... :D

or worse... until the legs gets in to your botty ;) or until you'll get sniped ...:gun_sniper::bounce:

I love to drive around in the A-10 in Lomac... it would be a nice change to take a nice walk :D

Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.

Rather than getting out of the thing, I'd like to see more interaction before you get in it. Like maybe the pilot and maintenance crew member do a pre-flight walk-around for various checks. Alternatively, maybe a quick dash out to your aircraft when an alarm klaxon sounds!

Yeah, if done right it could add much more drama to being shot down, so ejecting is the least of your worries :D

My aim in black shark is to try not to crash for as long as possible no matter what, so when I do get to crashing, the event will be much more "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" than "aww I'm gonna crash again"

hehe.. I kind of have the same plan, about trying not to crash. :D Adds to immersion me thinks when one tries hard not to crash, I would'nt go as far as to hurt myself when I do crash though :inv:

:P

I think getting outside might be pretty nice, maybe I'd enjoy a walk around the chopper pretending I'm doing preflight checks.. :D

Mmmmm...Wags answered the question...But he only made me wonder more...If you can eject and then walk around (and from the way he answered I am not sure if you can or can't) then would the enemy still shoot at you once you were on the ground?? Run from the infantry!

I would be very surprised if infantry shot at you when you're walking, I believe it's more of a little easter egg type thing. Probably (IMO) nothing changes except the camera, so AI will treat your aircraft just the same and won't see you..

Still useful for moviemakers and looking at the 23mm birdstrikes on your chopper :D

That's true. I don't think I will use it much when being shot down, but if it will be possible to inspect your helo before starting or after your mission, this would be a very cool feature, especially for servers or difficulty-settings with external views disabled.

It's this "OMG how did I manage to get this wreck back home feeling." that I find very immersive on all sims I play. :D

Very true -skipper-!

Just the possibility might add more "perspective" on the game world and help one immerse himself further. Very nice example there when flying without external views me thinks!
