key_stroked
The modified tint .bmp is in the right location (C:\Games NS\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Cockpit\IndicationTextures), and the modified color shows in the folder when I set the icons to large tiles, but in game it's still black and white. Anyone had luck getting the tint to work after 2.7?

key_stroked
Still trying to get this to work. Was the ability to do this disabled by ED?
X_legio
ED blocked a lot of things, they are superfast to block Mods like the extra Vikhr but needs years to fix a broken Shkval .....
Jafferson
I tried to make it work without success, the test picture is changeable but not the tint. Seems like the Lua is ignoring the SHKVAL_MASK picture at all. This mod was great, missing it too
arthuro12
Hey everyone, apologies for grave digging but I think I've figured it out for 2.7 \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Cockpit\Scripts\SHKVAL open up SHKVAL_init.lua change the used_render_mask value to the following: dofile(LockOn_Options.common_script_path.."devices_defs.lua") indicator_type = indicator_types.COMMON used_render_mask = LockOn_Options.script_path.."../IndicationTextures/SHKVAL_MASK.bmp" render_target_always = LockOn_Options.flight.easy_radar Edited January 31, 2022 by arthuro12 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I'm running version 2.7.10.1473. Any idea?

LeCuvier
This works! I changed the colour of the bitmap file "SHKVAL_MSK.bmp to something yellowish, and changed the line in "SHKVA_init.lua" as indicated by @arthuro12. It's a very simple change. And now my Shkval screen has this changed colour which seems to improve visibility of targets considerably. I will keep that! However I will need to set it up with OvGME to protect it from being voided by the next update. And we know of course that any future update might just make it unusable. 1 LeCuvier Windows 10 Pro 64Bit | i7-4790 CPU |16 GB RAM|SSD System Disk|SSD Gaming Disk| MSI GTX-1080 Gaming 8 GB| Acer XB270HU | TM Warthog HOTAS | VKB Gladiator Pro | MongoosT-50 | MFG Crosswind Pedals | TrackIR

LeCuvier
Now with version 2.7.11.22211 this mask produces a very bad SHKVAL display. I find that the display is quite clear without the mask now. So I backed this mod out.
