Kerbo 416
Hello, there's very little documentation regarding the Position Update feature, how does it work? could it correct a faulty INS alignment? what's the procedure for using it? does it have a desg mode? uboats
1. enter PU page, you need to select a channel with known coord, i.e. channel 10 or 30 or 45 etc 2. the selected PU channel with correct latlon should have a visual reference (i.e. at the coord of channel 10, there's a factory etc) 3. then when you fly over the reference (i.e. factory), press the PU button again, your INS pos should be fixed to the correct one and err eliminated Edited April 27, 2021 by uboats 1 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My DCS Mods, Skins, Utilities and Scripts | Windows 10 | i7-4790K | GTX 980Ti Hybrid | 32GB RAM | 3TB SSD | | TM Warthog Stick | CH Pro Throttle + Pro Pedal | TIR5 Pro | TM MFD Cougar | Gun Camera: PrtScn |
SuumCuique
Is flyover the only way, or can it (in the future) be updated via a designation, so through the targeting pod or AG radar?

DarkStar79
But i guess all of this is unnececary when you use the INS+GPS? So why not use that?

LastRifleRound
Also some aitcraft every few flights are flown decoupled so natural INS error correction algos aren't thrown off by errors being masked by the GPS being on all the time. Not sure if true for JF17, but true for the Harrier.

I didn't know it had this feature. Does it work with all designate (radar, WMCD, HUD) like the markpoint feature?
