HUD offset problem

As said above, it's due to crosswind. Pressing the Cage/Uncage button on the throttle will cage the HUD, centering the symbology, and you will get a second velocity vector. You'll have the normal one which will be caged in your HUD, plus an extra "ghost velocity vector" which will not be caged and will show your true velocity. It's highly advised to uncage your HUD in the groove so you can get an accurate representation of your aircraft's velocity for lineup.

I´m picking up this threat, cause i have a such a thing too.

But in my bombsight, when i wanna manually drop bombs.

Happens only, when I landed, shut down, refuel & rearmed and restartet.

Hope someone can help me...

Do you mean you also have wind? Or does it happen when you are flying a Hornet without GPS available? If it's the second one, then it's a bug awaiting a fix.

If neither, give more infos...

No, i testet it also with no wind, same Problem.

Without GPS available? How exactly do you mean it?

With NS430?

I create a normal mission with the hornet, only special thing is that I´ve removed the helmet visior.

Will test later today again and take some screens.

That the date of the mission has been set to a date when GPS was not available yet, so your Hornet relies on INS only.

Sounds good. Might aswell save the track just in case.

What's that date? I've heard of that before, but forgot it.

That's the INS drift bug. Doing an INS update should temporarily correct it.

To completely remove the issue, you need to wait for a fix from ED.......

Ok testet it again. oce with GPS available and once before GPS (1992)

Both same result (see pic).

I also have the feeling, that in manual mode the bombs (MK82, MK83 & MK84) fly a bit of the target cross (left)

No wind...

@CarloVecchi You have a 'P/INS' advisory on your ADV line, this is telling me that you actually do have GPS available, and the INS knob should be set to IFA.

But ultimately, razo+r is correct, and CCIP symbology shouldn't be affected by INS drift in this manner.

It is a bit bad it affect essentially the campaign mission as it make most of them unplayable for the most. I can imagine it is a bit a strange suprise for newcomer peoples who will like to make the campaign ( happend on second mission ofc with the BMP2 hunt ).

i think it was corrected in the openbeta ?
