Caution and warning lights are dim

Recommended Posts

As the title says, I am having a hard time seeing any of the caution and warning lights when they are lit. I've only recently bought the Tomcat, so I don't know if this problem was a thing before 2.7. This is in both the front and back seat that I notice this. Night time isn't as bad, but they are very difficult to see light up in daylight.

I fly using TIR and a 27" monitor. I don't have any problems with lights in the other modules I own. I recall the A-10 had this same issue some time back that was later fixed.

Here's a couple screenshots I took last night in a daytime training mission I had made. The first two are with the master test switch in the lights position. The third one is with the master test in the fire det/ext position. I can't even tell if the fire lights are lit.

It's not a "Problem" they decided thats how they should work. In the real plane they aren't super bright but, you can cup your hand over them to see them in the real plane.

Here it's about accuracy of the bulb output over usability.

I hope this gets the same treatment as the AOA indexer. They initially said unusably dim in daytime was correct but ultimately compromised and turned it up. Been trying to fly some day IMC ACLS approaches and not being able to see the annunciator panel is a hassle.

There is a mod that fixes this.
