Popular Post myHelljumper
Module status update 05/2021 Hello Mirage pilots, today we present you a module status-update for our Mirage 2000C. This update will present what changes are coming to the aircraft in future updates and future plans after that. In parallel to the module updates, a big update to the manual is in the works. It will be completely up to date with the last changes and contain more precise information on how the systems work. Here is an extract of the updated manual : M-2000C Manual INS extract.pdf Next updates In the last month, the team worked on fixing and improving the updated INS as well as various minor issues. A lot has also been done to the PCA and air-to-ground weapon logic, and symbology, on the VTH. This will be the focus of the next big update. We also have (we hope) some pleasant additions to the Mirage’s arsenal. With the release of these changes we will post a short guide just like we did for the INS update. PCA The PCA has been rewritten almost from scratch to remove all broken states that are present in the current version. In normal operation this rework won’t be very apparent as the current logic is very close to the new logic. The more notable change comes from the bottom row logic in normal operation, and in jettison mode. Now in normal operation the bottom row will always display the weapons that were loaded when the aircraft was rearmed. In jettison mode, only the ordinance that is still under the wings will be displayed. The S and P lights on the buttons under the bottom row have also been updated. VTH All the air-to-ground symbology on the VTH has also been reworked: AG guns, rockets, CCPL, CCPL PI, CCPI and CCPI PI. Most notable is the CCPI (CCIP) symbology. All delivery modes now have a greater accuracy for allprofiles and weapons. For CCPI delivery, the weapon employment domain symbology has been added. This symbology guides the aircraft into the optimum domain of employment for the selected weapon. The air-to-ground ranging mode for the radar (TAS) has also been updated. The radar beam is now simulated with multiple returns for the radar to choose from. This means that attacking a target on top of a ridge using TAS might be impossible. The pull up cue has been updated and is now very useful in avoiding the fragment zone and the ground. DEC radar mode We added the DEC terrain avoidance mode to the Mirage. The mode is selected using the DEC button on the radar panel and displays radar ground returns on the VTB. In this mode the pilot sets the DEC floor (HD) using the radar antenna elevation command, this floor is the altitude difference below the aircraft at which the radar returns will start to be displayed in red. BAP-100 bomb Additionally, the BAP-100 anti-runway bomb has been introduced to the Mirage. The Mirage can carry up to 18 of them on the central fuselage pylon which work by slowing down via parachute just after being released and, when pointing down, use a rocket motor to penetrate the ground and explode under it. We also added the Mk-82Air high drag bomb. Future Updates Once the upcoming update is out, the primary focus will be to fix bugs and errors that might have been introduced with it. Once that is out of the way the work will start on the new air-to-air radar and VTB display update as well as updated air-to-air weapon symbology. This will be a big change with a lot of work so it’s going to take some time before we can release it, but we think the result will be worth the wait. After this big item is released and debugged we will go over each instrument and system (hydraulic system, fuel system, electrical system…) to fix and improve them as much as possible. We will implement and improve the damage model, emergency procedures and systems. We will also check the flight model with our SME and if we see that some area can be improved we will update it. We also want to improve the external and internal sounds. We are committed to bring the most accurate Mirage 2000C possible to DCS for the community to enjoy as part of the support and update phase of the Mirage. 59 22 Helljumper - M2000C Guru Helljumper's Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK3rTjezLUxPbWHvJJ3W2fA

TLTeo
Good stuff. This is the kind of communication people have been asking for for a long time, hopefully the Farmer and Harrier will also receive similar roadmap posts.
Worg
Excellent. Only good news. Thanks a lot for the work, can't wait to try it all.
Sacarino111
HI. I must admit I am impressed... I was not very fan of Razbam (incomplete modules, IMO) but this kind of comunications change my mind. Thanks a lot and keep the good work up! Saludos. Saca111 And please, release the Mud Hen!

But they won't as they don't benefit from active armed force maintenance contracts like the Mirage does. 1 I5 9600KF, 32GB, 3080ti, G2, PointCTRL

Maybe, but I'm pretty sure making a post like this does not require military-grade funding. I guess we'll see.
Hodo
Maybe the ability to use more air to air missiles or self lasing with my own pod... Or rockets that actually kill. I love the Mirage.

So does that mean that the release calculations are not perfect, but are using the proper calculations for the aircraft altitude over target? As this is still the reason why example DMT in Harrier is superior to radar variant and Hornets when it comes to bombing accuracy as the ARBS system does it more accurately that radar can't do. 1 i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K. Pretty much yes, radars are not very good at estimating slant range due to their big beam angle. 1 Helljumper - M2000C Guru Helljumper's Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK3rTjezLUxPbWHvJJ3W2fA

Whistler_RIO
Great news! This was my first serious module years ago and I’m pretty excited to get reacquainted with her now that her fidelity is going to be raised so much higher. The mirage is a very strong Dogfighter IMO when used to her strengths

Can you minimize this effect with steeper dive angles for things like radar updates and designations for CCRP? Forget what the French acronym is for CCRP, but the mode you get when using standard Mk82's.

Forget what the French acronym is for CCRP, but the mode you get when using standard Mk82's. The TAS is done in a realistic manner, no simplification will be done to this system. By design the TAS is more precise when using a steep angle, other ways to improve precision are: - Stabilize the designation symbol for 1 second before pressing the designation button. - Designate on even terrain. - Be sure that there is only one plane in the radar field of view, no hill or mountain tops. - Don't designate on water, or at a very steep angle. Alternatively, the RS can used to attack targets on water. Mav783
I love it ! Thanks again to take care of this module and make it closer and closer from realism I can say that i surely don't use it as it full capability. But only knowing this Mirage get closer at every update to the real plane is such a beautifull feeling. And it stay so great to learn more with this module.
