You can purchase on Steam and then transfer the license to your ED account, like this:

I can get the F-16 module (possibly others too) on Steam and transfer to standalone?!?  I thought that wasn't allowed for new purchases anymore!

Yes, that's correct ... our money funds more DCS developments when we purchase at their Store. I just mentioned the alternative in case you couldn't wait until the next ED-shop sale 😉
