Mission 2vsUNK - visual ID and your strategy

Recommended Posts

Horrido Snipers,

how do you play the boogey ID for the 2 vs unknown? Do you cheat with your TV? If not, what is your gameplan? As I can not steer the Dice, he stupidly runs into enemy head on and by the time I can visually ID the enemy, their Sparrows and our well being are our main concern. Low level helps due to ground clutter, but this is also no go for AI Dice: How do you play this part?

You can use the TCS, but in DCS the image is sharper than in real life. Or you can play it more difficult and use your eyeballs.

A good tactic is to plug in the burners and get well ahead of Sniper 4, so when you ID the bogeys, he still has range for a sparrow shot. Also, it works well to establish lateral separation and not go fully head on.

Thank you for the reply. That is exactly the solution I use if the AI is supposed to survive. Is it posible to change the behavior of the AI F14 to conduct a pincer intercept?
