investigating Lost lock while locking a target using ACM mode (except BST) and depressing TDC over the ACM box

- Lock a target with another ACM mode then boresight (hmd, VACQ, WACQ)

- Move the tdc cursor over the ACM box on the radar ddi

- Press tdc depress

 

Using boresight mode, this deactivates ACM but keeps the target tracked in STT as expected.

Just using the (hmd, VACQ, WACQ) in the same procedure instead, and lock is lost.
