Auto waypoint following

I really doubt this is a bug, but I will still ask here.

Just learning how an aircraft auto follows waypoint(s). Sometime it does, some time it doesn˙t. Don`t really get it. But at my current example it just doesn`t want to. Using CPL Waypoints mode, and following these instructions:

Tried both methods, but the aircraft at my current example is always pointing towards that "diamond" which you can see infront of aircraft on AMPCD:

Why is that so, why it doesn`t want to turn for 90deg left, toward waypoint I selected?

It's trying to fly the course, not the WP, if you have a course set up. Disable the course (deselect and reselect WYPT) and it'll fly towards the WP.

The aircraft will always be pointing roughly in the direction of that diamond, it's the indicator that shows which direction you're currently traveling.
