PLAAF Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 So I assume Razbem and ED didn't work out their problem after all. 3 My Adorable Communist Errand Girls Led by me, the Communist Errand Panda

Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk How dare Razbam cancel the project! They have ruined everything. Do you know what I did for this module? How much effort I have put into it? How much I have suffered? Ever since the day they announced this project, I have been saving up my mileage. I have saved so much that I have planned to do a "zero-dollar shopping" on MiG-23. But they just cancelled it, just like that. My mileage ~!!!!!! 3 1 My Adorable Communist Errand Girls Led by me, the Communist Errand Panda

Miles are pretty much useless nowadays anyway, seems that the new trend for 3rd party developers is to opt out of the miles -program. Your miles are good for ED -products. 2

I think that way, they can attract more people to become 3rd party. 1 My Adorable Communist Errand Girls Led by me, the Communist Errand Panda

I don’t think that earning money is the main driving factor for the development of modules by most third parties. Most modules came into being because the people behind it were driven by passion for the particular aircraft and the desire to see this aircraft in DCS. I might be wrong, but I think most developers do not base their living on selling DCS modules, that might be just a nice bonus, but not something you can feed a family from on a regular basis. That point of view is crushed by RB`s "greedy hands". Otherwise they`d continue to develop and update their modules. We live in modern world and everything is ruled by money. Thats a harsh truth.

Well, yes, RB is active as a developer on several platforms and is a real business. I was referring some other devs in general, like the devs of the CASA/Mirage F1, I-16, Tornado,… 2 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven

Stopping work after not getting their many months worth of payment for prior work is "greedy"? You expect them to continue to work for free, so their uncompensated work can continue to fill the pockets of those who wronged them? It will always amaze me how entitled DCS fans can be. Absolutely incredible. 5

Absolutely incredible. You get me wrong. My post was that all 3rd party devs working for money not for some idea. And "greedy" was used to show that they are working not for free.Again read my posts.I clearly understand that everything has its cost. I just think that rb made it wrong with users who bought their modules. That fight us between ed and rb. Rb also have their responsibilities before dcs users. P.s. It will always amaze me that people dont read carefully and write an answer. Edited September 20, 2024 by stonewall197922

This quote alone shows that I did not "get you wrong" Yes what happened to the customers is unacceptable, but no part of that is RB's fault. They have no such responsibility before DCS users -> ED does. 3
