ZU-23-2 is too accurate

I'm in agreement that it's simply FAR too accurate.

If you look at how they fire, they seem to be close on perfect shots at your expected position.  Sure, you can "game play" that by constantly dodging, but let's be fair, human gunners are simply NOT that accurate, and neither should the AI be.

Lets look at a track.

This. 👆

We could talk for days about what we think about ZU-23-2 accuracy without any proof: this thread would go nowhere.

Providing short tracks is the best way to prove one's point. We can compare different units accuracy, try things (lower skill, change target...), until we all agree.

Don't accept indie game testing requests from friends in Discord. Ever.

As has been pointed out, its not the ZU-23-2 specifically. Any Ground unit even set at lowest skill will be way to accurate when engaging air. Even M113s with their single M2 while driving at full speed or soldiers firing Ak-74s.

Especially noticable when flying helicopters.

The problem is that the ground AI is extremly simpel. They get a perfect Lead from the game and than a random mumber generator decides if they aim right at this this perfect lead point or slightly miss it.

However the game makes no difference between what kind of target they shoot at. So the Ground AI will hit or miss a stationary tank just as often as a helicopter flying at 300 kp/h.

None of that is a secret or new information, the AI has many problems and ED says they will improve it in the future.

ZSU Shilka is radar guided, for drop and lead. Not human guided.

If you notch them, they will miss. If you have jammers, you can practically walk up to them and hose them down with cannon fire, at least in the A-10.

Yeah, the ZSU-23-4 shilka is indeed radar guided.

The ZU-23-2 this thread is about is not.
