Gee, like using all those instruments in the plane... Like IRL... Seriously, learn how to use them, even FC3 lets you do it.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love doing that and hate using F10 map, I was simply asking how irl they used to do

The gina was a day only fighter AFAIK. Its not an 18C with GPS. So.... Turns out, you use whatever basic radio nav it has and do your best. Just like the F86, Mig15, Mig19 etc.

Pretty much, except it's better at it 🙂

It routinely amazes me that 90% + of DCS "pilots" can't do basic "pilot" stuff.

The 1964 G-91 R3 equivalent to the NATOPS doesn't mention anything about TACAN, only about an ADF together with the Doppler system. The PHI (position and homing indicator) does have a TACAN mode, but on those jets it's inoperative. Same goes for the 1970 manual of the -Y, which received a bunch of other improvements to its nav/attack system, so all in all I think it's unlikely TACAN was ever fitted.

Luftwaffe R3s later could get the ammo-can of their R/H 30mm gun replaced with a TACAN LRU.

That also meant shooting the other gun was prohibited, though (asymmetric firing).

No Dash-1, just books as source.

The portugueses R4, had a similar system, they remove 2 guns and ad a TACAN in place.

We are celebrating the anniversary of the first flight (August 9, 1956), with some new renderings of G.91 R3 version: they are wip and do not represent the final product.

Looks very promising! 👌

Do we have any chance of an Trainer Variant too?

What about the R4 ? It was the only model who fought in real life with the Força Aerea Portuguesa.

From the 1st post:

"We will develop the following version: R1B (Italian version), R3 (German Version) and PAN (aerobatic version converted from the A version)."

Speaking of which, beyond the armament and number of hardpoints, what are the differences between the R1B and R3 (and R4 I suppose)?
Differences are mainly on avionic system which was a little advanced in terms of reliability on R3.
Another difference was the redundancy of the pneumatic system.
At the moment I don't remember other differences, I should have a look to documentations.

My humble opinion is that having to research additional models just to please a few people, is a waste of development time. I'd prefer if the developer focus on those versions that they have already researched, so that we may have the aircraft available sooner.
