Cannot add keyboard bindings to "General" section

I wish to add key bindings in the "General" section, especially the "View" subsection, so that I can move the camera in VR sessions. I can assign the keys without any conflict, but the new bindings do not work. Worse, when I remove the default bindings and replace them with new ones. Well, the new bindings still do not work but the removed ones still work!!!

 

I dunno if this is a feature or a bug, or both.

That is because the "General" section is barely used.

 

Look for the controls of the aircraft you're flying, then look for the "View" category. You should find the exact same controls, only those are the ones you want to modify.

Yes, indeed.

I know the "General" section name sounds like it allows one to set one control for every aircraft, but you should rather see it as an old Flaming Cliffs remnant, which is less and less useful.
