Scripting limitations

This isn't a specific bug, just asking.

Ive been screwing around with a logistic simulation in DCS. The game seems to slow down after thousands of lines of scripting. Admittedly poorly written.

Is this normal? Is there a hard limit on the length of LUA scripting or is there a recommended point beyond which performance tanks?

A lot depends on what you are doing, lots of states checking and recursive behaviours, managing what amounts to a DB in lua perhaps… It feels like something that would slow things down eventually.  That said it’s difficult to say in isolation.
