TishaBersky
Is that possible to survive AMRAAM hit to be able to eject, at least at the back of the craft?(Not only at f16, but also at f15, su 33 and so on). Or aim 120 will kill you 100% situations?
Falconeer
yes it's totally possible. It happened in 1999 in Servian airspace, where a Dutch F16 shot down a Mig-29. The pilot ejected safely. Most missiles do not need to hit the target, they only need to get close enough for the warhead to detonate and sent large amounts of shrapnel to the target 1 Planes: Choppers: Maps: Flaming Cliffs 3 Black Shark 2 Syria A-10C Tank killer 2 Black Shark 3 Persian Gulf F/A18C Hornet AH-64 Apache Mariana's F-16C Viper F-15E Strike Eagle Mirage 2000C AJS-37 Viggen JF-17 Thunder F-14 Tomcat
Solution Cupra Posted June 14, 2021 Solution Share Posted June 14, 2021 Sure... a hit is not always a kill. Somwhere there was a document arount about downed aircraft in 1999... one of the MiG-29 got hit 3 times and was still flying.. Another one got hit but crashed because the pilot was tiered at the final.... So.. 1 hit 1 Kill can be, but do not calculate with it. For big planes like a SU-27 or similar I would in gerneral calculate 3 missiles for 1 jet. Lucky if needed less, but.. maybe 1 misses, the second one just causes light damage.. TAW_Blaze
I expect a frontal hit near the canopy will be fatal but otherwise the pilot should be able to eject, unless this is prevented by the damage caused.
Baz000
Sometimes the forces of seat ejection proves to be fatal to the pilot, and can exacerbate already existing bodily injury from battle damage.
ruddy122
You can survive but it depends if you see the missileMissiles don’t like to turn because it bleeds energy and the rocket motor has so much propellantKey is maneuver to make the missile turn and lose its energy while spewing countermeasuresSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] LUCKY:pilotfly::joystick: Computer Specs CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core 3.4 GHz| GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 6Gb | RAM: 32 GB DDR4 @ 3000 MHz | OS: Win 10 64 bit | HD: 500 Gb SSD
