Incorrect Belt Composition for P51 and P47

@NineLine

Completely understand not wanting to have to do this twice but we are fast approaching a year since this update was ready to go.

Both USAAF we have in DCS currently (and the USN one on the way) would have used the belts you have suggested here:

All 3 are 44/45 aircraft and would not have been equipped with anything other than API or APIT rounds we have modelled already, unless in very special circumstances. So it doesn't seem necessary to wait on any additional rounds.

You've got an easy home run that's been ready for a while and it would massively improve the historical accuracy of 2 of your modules.

I'd really really recommend pushing for the suggested belts to go out in the next update.

Thanks @NineLine

Thats fair. There are some tricky bugs for them to fix.

I'd really stress to them that this is such a quick little win. The text is already there to input into the lua and we've all been testing these belts for quite some time.

Yes, I have asked for an update, I even created the 2 missing rounds I needed to make them what they need to be, so I am pretty excited to see how I did on coding my first rounds lol. I will let you know when I get some more feedback.

A year, A YEAR…. This company should NEVER wonder why the WW2 community gets frustrated with them…. Yes the P-51 to them is ancient and may not bring in the big bucks like the Jets but come on a year for something that the heavy lifting has already been done….

Rant over

Can you give them another nudge? Been quite a few updates that have come through now. A lot of people are very keen to see this implementated and it's ready to go.

Soon as I know, I will let you guys know, I promise.

Thanks @NineLine

Sorry for pestering it's just the fact this is ready to go and has been outstanding for over 12 months now makes it that extra bit frustrating. Plus the fact it would have such an impact on some of DCS WW2s most popular aircraft.

There has been some movement internally, but I dont want to get your hopes up until I know its in progress.

Has this been brought to ED's attention as well, while rounds are being added/checked?

Thanks for the update though!  I appreciate you've been on top of this thread for so long 👍

Thanks for the update @NineLine. Really appreciate you continuing to push on this.

DCS WWII would have a lot of happy customers once this finally gets implemented 😀

Did we get the new belts with this update? It looks like we got a more pronounced smoke trail on the tracers.

The monthly nudge. Has there been any more internal traction on including this in a upcoming update?

Over 14 months since OP Cass started this thread.... The problem is older...... really older than 14 months !!! After X-mas they did a less than 10 minutes vid to explain new features in WW2 (IMAHO with 5 mins long vid would have been enough). I'm really hyped with the japanese wooden and paper houses in the Marianas... Certainly #2 -#1 was the delay bomb fuzes- in the WW2 issues to fix list ( 100% irony...actually).

I never doubted everything will be fixed.... I only wonder HOW LONG? 2039 sounds like a great date.... just to celebrate the 100th. Anniversary.

Dear all, the new rounds have been added and I have requested one slight change for the P-51D and it should be coming soon, followed shortly by the P-47 (hopefully at the same time).

Thanks all for your extreme patience on this.

New Belts for both should look like this:

_("API-T '44 - M8 API, M1 I, M8 API, M1 T")
_("API-T '44 Strafing - M8 API x 4, M20 API-T")
_("API '44 - M8 API, M1 I")
_("AP '43 - M2 AP x 2, M1 I x 2")
_("AP-T '43 - M2 AP x 2, M1 I x 2, M1 T")
