Why a "high pedal push rate" indicator?

Does a high pedal push rate damage some helicopter system, or why is there such an indicator? (Can't wait to see the official DCS Mi-24P manual soon!)

Could it be a pre warning to prevent a situation where you loose the ability to have tail rotor authority by approaching that over torque area? (Complete layman terms, sorry)

high pedal push rate warning appears when you have the Pedal damper in the on position and you try to yaw too quickly too far left or right.
you can see in the pedal movement (right ctrl + enter) how the pedal damper would slow down the rate of yaw incomparison with your actual rudder movement.

So the "pedal yaw damper" is a switch somewhere?

Switch off Damper while taxiing for easier control of direction, switch on again before T/O

Its not issue, this is information about exceeding the longitudinal angle by 25 degrees which could damage the gyro systems on Raduga station, especially if the station is open. This will damage the system.

Edit - too fast posted. Wrong subject. I was writing about: "maneuver angle exceeded" that is on the same panel warnings.

So hard manouvering could damage the gyros even if the doars are closed?

No, if it will be closed before the maneuver will be ok. I edited my post btw.

Sooooo in other terms, it would be a lot better for the pilots if the lamp would say "pedal damper active" instead of "high pedal push rate", right? 😬

(because "high pedal push rate" = "so what?", and "pedal damper active" = obvious, since "damper" is a clear avionics-function. Please don't be offended, Mil-Mi engineers!)

High push rate produced high stress on the airframe. It's just a setting that is supposed to prolong helicopter s life. They were expensive to build.

In game the setting is pointless but I fly always with dampener because it's supposed to be like that

Rudder dampener can be disabled with switch on instrument panel left. It’s nice having it off for taxing but be aware when it’s off rudder AP is disabled, which contrary to the Cold War museum manual which says it only disabled heading hold mode IIRC

#27 provided by VampireNZ post.  And can also be found in copilot  cockpit (red pedal damper switch)

And to answer your previous question

The warning annunciator  is about the high push rate (deflection rate)   and I believe can also light up without damper active (at higher deflection rates)   It is a warning.
High pedal push rate= potentially dangerous maneuver

seems damage isn't implemented in DCS yet xD I disabled the damper, wildly went full left, right, left, right a few times, nothing happened 😈
